robot{s} on the runway...

Robot takes to the catwalk in Japan

Thank you GRAZIA for the story [+] the scoop!
"We had Pamela Anderson for Vivienne Westwood in Paris and Barbie dolls in New York, but something even more out-there took to the catwalks in Japan this week: a humanoid robot, named Miim. No, you're not hallucinating. Japanese designer Yumi Katsura sent the 5'2" virtual model down the runway in full wedding dress regalia as part of her ‘Paris Grand Collection' in Osaka. She even got the robot, sorry Miim, to take realistic sidelong glances at the bemused front row. ‘Like the father of the bride, I feel both happy and sad', said Katsura of Miim's debut, perhaps a little too proudly. So move over, Agy – the robot's developer hopes she will be able to work ‘in fashion in entertainment' in the future. There's just one problem Mrs Katsura. She's a little short for modelling standards these days.."
You just have to love it! [however I hear they cost a FORTUNE to make! [ha]] enjoy! xo xo :el fano:
