James St. James Goes To The Ovahness Ball

James goes to REACH LA's annual "Ovahness Ball," and finds the vogueing ball world made famous by the 1990 documentary "Paris is Burning" to be alive and well, and just as vibrant and joyful as ever. Many ball legends are present, including a New York faction from the House of Xtravaganza - Carmen and Grandfather Hector Xtravaganza walk the runway, as does Luis Xtravaganza, one of Madonna's featured dancers from her "Vogue" music video, Blonde Ambition tour and "Truth or Dare" documentary. Plus, James gets a very special surprise when the ball MC's pay him homage as a club scene legend! REACH LA is a youth-driven organization committed to educating, motivating, and mobilizing urban youth to improve their own lives and communities. The "Ovahness Ball" is part of their outreach program to educate young people of color about HIV prevention, testing and safe sex.
